Dallas Laine Raty, 63, of Rexburg, died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his home of natural causes. He was born April 3, 1951 in Burley, Idaho, to Thomas and Jennie Brown Raty.
He attended schools in Ogden and Orem, Utah and went to college at Brigham Young University.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission from 1970 - 1972 in the Cumorah, New York Mission.
He married Janae Kitchen in the Provo LDS Temple on June 26, 1975.
He lived in various parts of Utah, Idaho and California. He worked as an electrical engineer.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Jennie Raty, his wife, Janae of Rexburg, Idaho, his children, Beth Anne (Wesly) Wright of Rexburg, Idaho, Benjamin (Amy) Raty of Orem, Utah, Nicolle Raty of Bountiful, Utah, Tamara Raty (Andrea) of Washington D.C., Timothy Raty of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Brian (Alisa) Raty of Rexburg, Idaho, as well as 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Janet Raty of Orem, Utah, Brenda (Wilford) Miller of Springville, Utah, William Raty of Austin, Texas and a brother-in-law, James W. Brown II of Salt Lake City, Utah.
He is preceded in death by his sister Lorna Raty Brown.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the Rexburg 4th Ward Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be Sugar City Cemetery.
