Darrell Billy Ard, 97, a long time resident of Teton and Madison Counties died Monday July 25, 2011.

He was born October 11, 1913 in Elsmore Kansas to J.D. and Lily Ard.

He moved to Idaho at the age of 4 and farmed in Clementsville for over 70 years.

He married Olive Irene Umphrey in 1936 they had a son Ronnie Wayne Ard and a daughter Darla Faye Zollinger.

He had a love for life and others. He will be remembered for his hard work, sense of humor, loyalty, honesty, and above all his unwavering kindness.

Darrell is survived by his son, Ronnie (Sheri) Ard and his daughter, Darla (Thomas) Zollinger, as well as 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 29th at the LDS 5th Ward Chapel with Bishop Kent Hillman officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and from 10:00 to 10:45 at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Cache Clawson Cemetery in Tetonia.
