Obituary

Frank Davis (Dave) Rydalch 70, of St. Anthony, Idaho, died December 3rd 2014 in Blythe, California of health related issues.

Dave was born May 1st 1944 in Salina, Utah the son of Frank Edward and Leola Muriel Childs Rydalch. He grew up in St. Anthony and Plano, Idaho graduating from Sugar Salem High School in 1962. He later attended University of Idaho in Moscow where he was a member of the TKE Fraternity.

Dave married Mary Anita Koon in 1964. They lived in Moscow for one year until they returned home to Plano for Dave to farm with his father. Dave and Anita were blessed with three children Robin, Kristi, and Lance. They later divorced in 1977. Dave continued farming in Plano and became actively involved with the Idaho Water Resource Board where he met Jan. They married on March 29,1985 in Boise, Idaho. Dave and Jan sold the farm in Plano in 2003 and moved to St. Anthony. Dave was supervisor for Fremont County Weed Control until he retired in 2006 . Dave and Jan spent their summers in St. Anthony and winters in Blythe, California.

Dave was very involved with many clubs and organizations throughout his life. Dave served in various positions such as; Chairman of the Idaho Water Resource Board, President of the North Fork Reservoir Company, and President of the Upper Snake River Bowmen. He also was a member of the INEL Citizens Advisory Board , Teton Regional Land Trust, St. Anthony Rotary Club, and the Committee of Nine.

Dave loved the outdoors. When he was not busy farming or being actively involved with his many public roles, he enjoyed fishing, bow-hunting, photography and golf. He loved spending time with family and friends.

Dave is survived by his wife, Jan, his children; Kristi (Daniel) Schwab of Afton,Wyoming; Lance (Pia) Rydalch of Rexburg, Step-children; Bob (Tonia) Heck of Spokane, Washington; and Cheryl (Ruben) Garcia of Phoenix, Arizona; 7 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and his sisters Judy Graham, Sheralee (Mike) Lawson and Debra Rydalch.

Dave is preceded in death by his daughter, Robin, and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Anthony Idaho Stake Center (247 E. 4th N.) Friends may visit at the Bert Flamm Mortuary in St. Anthony Tuesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery.
