Kenichi David Kaneko, 76, of Idaho Falls, died Friday June 3, 2016 at MorningStar Care Facility in Idaho Falls. He was born November 21, 1939 in Salina, Utah to Noboru and Edythe Kaneko.
He graduated high school in Utah before attending Brigham Young University, where he graduated with a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Biology.
He enlisted in the US Air Force and spent several years in the service.
He married Loraine Sakota in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They moved around some before settling down in the Rexburg area. They had one daughter.
He worked at the NRF from 1976 to 2003 teaching Navy students Chemistry and Radiological Controls.
He is preceded in death by his wife and his daughter.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, at the Rexburg Cemetery. There will be a visitation held Tuesday, June 14, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg.
