David Mains, 65 of St. Anthony, died Monday October 22, 2018 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center surrounded by family.

David was born on February 9, 1953 in St. Anthony, Idaho to John D. and Velda May Barney Mains. He attended school in Mud Lake and St. Anthony where he enjoyed playing sports and rodeo and helping his grandparents on their farm.

His first daughter, Heather, was born to David and then wife Dianne. He later married Valerie Rush and together they had three children, Amanda, Tharon and Shawna.

David was a diesel mechanic and loved his work.

He was blessed with 12 grandchildren who were his pride and joy.

He is survived by his children, Amanda (Roberto) Nunez; Tharon D. Mains; Shawna (Dustin) Jensen, all of St. Anthony and Heather (Dan) Surerus of Meridian; and 12 grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Aaron (Barb) Mains; Mark (Liz) Mains; Felicia (John) Pierotti all of St. Anthony and Shelly Maupin of Boise. David was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary, 581 East 1 ^st North, St. Anthony. The family will receive friends that morning from 10:00 until 10:45.
