Dean Ray Blanchard of Chester, ID passed away January 30, 2023 at the Ashton Living Center at the age of 88.

He was born February 23, 1934 to Henry Devere and Rebbeca Hanson Blanchard.

He loved being outdoors, whether for sports or work. He farmed all his life. In his youth Dean Ray was known for his boxing skills.
He served in various calling in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in the army for two years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold; sisters, Norma Powell and Willma Peterson; wife, Naomi Riggs Blanchard; daughter, Susanna; son, Lorin.

He is survived by Kirt (Lori) Blanchard of Chester, ID; Nanette Blanchard of Houston, TX; and Kent Blanchard of Chester, ID; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services will held Friday, February 3, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. in the Ashton LDS Stake Center. The family will receive friends Thursday February 2, 2023 from 6:00p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and again on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. both times at the Ashton Stake Center. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
