Dean Thomas Johnson was born June 13, 1938, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Floyd Russell Johnson and Lydia Young Carroll.
Dean graduated from Ely High School in Ely, Nevada, before attending LDS Business College and BYU.
He married Renee Bell June 3, 1970, and resided in Rexburg, Idaho, where all five of their sons were born.
Dean worked at several jobs in Rexburg before finally ending up at Madison Memorial Hospital where he worked in the maintenance and grounds department for 29 years.
Dean was active in the LDS Church and spent time in a variety of callings, including several years working with the residents of Homestead Assisted Living. He was also an avid genealogist and enjoyed family history work and serving in the Rexburg Temple.
Dean passed away in Woods Cross, Utah, on July 21, 2021, surrounded by family.
He is survived by his children, Greg (Julie), Steven, Daniel (Becca), Jeff (Michelle), and four grandchildren.
Dean is preceded in death by Renee, his wife, and Scott, his son.
He will be interred in the Sugar City, Idaho, Cemetery in a private graveside service.
