Deanne Barkdull

Deanne Graham Barkdull, 61, of Sugar City, died February 15, 2011 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from acute leukemia. She was born April 5, 1949 at the old Harlo Rigby Hospital. She was the first child born to Dean and Colleen Graham of Moody. The family later moved to Tendoy, Idaho near Salmon. She attended the Tendoy two room elementary school.

She enjoyed ranching and riding horses with her parents.

She married Morgan Barkdull on May 13, 1969 at Idaho Falls, Idaho. They had five children which they raised in Brenham, Texas in Blue Bonnet Hills. They were later divorced. She moved to Bay City, Texas where she enjoyed the ocean.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and belonged to the Teton First Ward.

She was a fun-loving person and had many talents. First and foremost was her ability with horses. She could catch a horse when no one else could. She taught her children the love of horses and animals. One of her greatest delights was to take trail rides with family and friends. She was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her parents, Dean and Colleen Graham of Sugar City; children, Shawn (Stephanie) Barkdull of Corpus Christi, Texas, Nichole (Jody) Burnside of Mesquite, Nevada, Ryan (Richelle) Barkdull of Andover, Kansas, Rusty Jevne of St. George, Utah, Tyler (Heidi) Barkdull of Thayne, Wyoming; siblings, Tony (Hidy) Graham of Rigby, James Graham of Sugar City, Patrice (Bob) Gerrie of Polson, Montana; and thirteen grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson Cwade Burnside.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m . on Friday, February 18, at the Teton LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
