Debbie Parkinson, 68, passed away on February 13, 2022 in Rexburg, Idaho.
She was born December 12, 1953, in Rexburg, Idaho to Gary and Violet Owens.
She grew up in Rexburg and attended Madison Schools. She was on the Madison High Drill Team and worked at Dairy Queen during high school. That is where she met her husband, Laine Parkinson. They were married on August 16, 1972.
Debbie had 2 children, Kimberly and James. When the kids were in school Debbie worked at Kings for a few years. After the Teton Dam broke she started working at Artco. She started in data entry and worked her way up to department manager over several departments. She worked at Artco for 30 years.
After she left Artco she worked at the credit union for a few months and then went to work for the family business to work with her husband.
At the time of death she was VP of L.A. Parkinson Trucking, Inc, Parkwest Transport Brokers, Parkinson Investments and Snowcap Storage and Uhaul, in Rigby, Idaho.
She is survived by her husband, Laine Parkinson; daughter, Kimberly Villenueve; son, James D. Parkinson; brother, Gary Dee Owens; sister, Darla King; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Gary and Violet Owens; oldest brother, Danny Owens.
Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 in the Burton East Chapel. Family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, at Flamm Funeral Home and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Friday, February 18 in the Burton East Chapel, prior to services.
