Terrance DeMar Bott, 84, of Clementsville, died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at his home of natural causes. He was born November 22, 1927, in Rexburg to Alva Elmer "A.E." and Ecco Mae Jensen Bott. He grew up in Clementsville and attended elementary school there through the 8th grade. He would walk or ride his horse the two miles to school. He graduated from Madison High School in 1945, and played football on the championship team his senior year. He attended Junior College in California and received his pilot's license.
He met Beverly Miller at the Linderman Ranch up LeBarge Creek, Wyoming in 1951. They were married December 16,1951 in Las Vegas, Nevada and made their home in Clementsville where they farmed their entire life.
DeMar and Shayne Linderman crop dusted for many years until the Teton Dam Flood destroyed their planes while they were parked at the Rexburg airport.
He enjoyed skiing, fishing, camping and boating with his family and friends. He and Beverly loved traveling in their 5th wheel camper and also enjoyed vacationing in Mexico during the winter.
He is survived by his wife Beverly of Clementsville; children, Terry Bott of Clementsville, Kemp (Kim) Bott of Providence, Utah, Mike (Lesa) Bott of Clementsville; close nieces Paula Sorensen of Roberts and Stephanie Bott of West Jordan, Utah; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Forrest Bott and daughter Debra Kay Bott.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 17 at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Burial will be in the Cache-Clawson Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Driggs Humane Society in memory of DeMar.
