Obituary

Dennis Lee Tuckett, 56, passed away September 2, 2011 at the Easter Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Dennis was born to Wallace Lee and Bernece Illa Ball Tuckett on November 20, 1954 in Rexburg, Idaho.

Dennis grew up with three sisters, Judy, Patty and Vicky in the Rexburg area before moving to Monteview with his family.

Dennis graduated from West Jefferson High School and attended Ricks College.

On 18 of August 1979 he married Shawna Lea Archibald in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. They later divorced. To this union was born: Quinton, Deidra, Rusty and Whitney.

Dennis loved to farm and help his dad with the farm. He became very good at farming. In 1989 Dennis's dad died and Dennis ran the farm for awhile until just before his mother died. Then he started trucking and soon started Tuckett Trucking. In 2009, he went to work for Mill Iron Transportation, Inc. He loved his job and getting out in th open. He said it was his thinking time when he was in the truck.

Dennis love life and tried to live it to the fullest. He enjoyed camping with his children. He enjoyed doing things with his sister, Judy and her family, here and in Salt Lake City. He would travel with Steve and Judy and Steve's sister, Thella. They had just come back from a trip to Missoula to see family. Dennis was willing to help anyone out in anyway he could, even if it was with a kind word or an ear for listening. He enjoyed going to the Spoken Word in Salt Lake City, making model trucks, visiting with family and friends. Dennis always liked going to the rodeo in Pocatello and Mud Lake. He enjoyed the tractor pulls at the fair every year.

Dennis was an active high priest in the Monteview Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed helping with cook-outs and camping trips with the ward. He held several positions in the church over the years.

Dennis is survived by his children: Quinton, Deidra (Matt) Kortwright, Rusty (Breanna) and Whitney and six grandchildren. His grandchildren were the apple of is eye. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. His sisters: Judy (Steve) Bunnell, Patty (Reed) Robertson and Vicky (Calvin) Weber and several nephews and nieces and cousins. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in the Monteview LDS Ward. Friends and family may call at the Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg on Monday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. And Tuesday at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
