Desireé Williams Chesebro Moeller, 65, of St. Anthony Idaho passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Temple View Transitional Care Center in Rexburg Idaho.
Desireé was born on August 5, 1956, in Ruidoso, New Mexico to Carla Christensen and Garland Simmons who later divorced. In September 1958, Carla married Charles Fred Williams and within a relatively short time, Charles legally adopted Desireé. The family made their home in Sugar City Idaho.
Through the years she learned of the Native American heritage she had through her birthfather. And although there was little to no communication with him she held closely to her native roots and culture. In 1976, Desireé married Mark Chesebro, they had a daughter Carli-Lyn in 1977. They divorced that same year . In 1978, she married Axel John (Al) Moeller. They had a son, Shaun Charles in 1979. They later divorced.
Desireé held a variety of jobs; waitress, band member, housekeeper, and customer service at Melaleuca on the UK line. She also volunteered at the Idaho Art Lab. She had wonderful people skills only surpassed by her talents as an artist, poet and songwriter.
She is survived by her daughter, Carli-Lyn (Sudheer) Vermani of Croydon, England, her son Shaun Charles Williams of Rexburg, five grandchildren, Taylor, Elizabeth, Shannon, Ashley, and Michael. Siblings Chuck (Trena) Williams of St. Anthony, Charlan (Agustin) Lozano of Rigby, and Brett (Kim) Williams of Thornton, numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Chuck and Carla Williams.
Services will be held at the fourth ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Monday, March 14th at 11AM, with a visitation from 10:00-10:45 AM prior. Burial will be in the Wilford cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
