John Dewayne Lee quietly slipped through the veil on Friday, April 16, 2021, surrounded by his family.

Dewayne was born March 6, 1941 in Brigham City, Utah to John Ellis and Iris LaRue Hopkins Lee, the third of twelve children. He grew up in Brigham City, graduated from Box Elder High School, and then served in the Northern California Mission. He married Doris Jean Ball in the Logan Temple on April 19, 1963. He graduated from Utah State University and began teaching and coaching in Moab, Utah before taking a job at West Jefferson High School and moving to Terreton, Idaho. He loved working with and coaching the young men of the area and spoke often of them.
After a number of years he began farming and worked up to 2300 acres, but raised children before crops. He and Jean have 5 children, 28 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. He loved playing and watching sports of all kinds and supported his kids in all their activities. As they came along he loved to sing with and spoil his grandchildren.

He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. His favorite was teaching the Gospel Doctrines class. He and Jean served two missions together. The first was in the Singapore Mission where they served in Panang, West Malaysia and Sri Lanka. The second mission was in the Manilla Philippines temple. He served as a sealer in the Rexburg Temple and sealed together a number of his grandchildren and many other wonderful couples. After living in Terreton, Idaho for 28 years, they moved to Hibbard, Idaho where they have lived for the past 25 years.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, one brother, and a granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Jean, seven brothers and three sisters, 5 children - Brian (Debbie), Brad (Stephanie), Kristy (Chad), Cindy (Chris), Jodi, 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
