Obituary

Long time Teton resident, DeWayne Thairol Sessions, passed away Sept 16, 2025 after a fall in his home.

DeWayne was born February 6, 1935 in Lovell, WY and was the oldest child of Thairol "Chick" Sessions and Gladys Ion Jacobson Sessions.

After serving in the Army, DeWayne married Della Sayler. They had three children, Tina Marie, Robert Wayne, and Cory Lance and relocated to Burley ID where DeWayne grew a reputation as a top notch mechanic.

Later, DeWayne married Brenda Orgil and had two more children Autumn Rae and Deriek Ty.

DeWayne relocated to St. Anthony ID and used his talent for precision to become a machinist. DeWayne move to Teton and married Kazumi Takamasa becoming a step-father to her children. DeWayne loved gardening and was a Master Gardner. He enjoyed his community and was even a "Foster Grandfather" at the juvenile corrections facility nearby.

DeWayne joins his parents and siblings Scott, Sherry (Madsen), Kay, Ray, and grandson Cody (Sessions) Fulmer. DeWayne is survived by his children Tina, Robert (Brandy), Cory, Autumn Bryant (George) , Deriek, 10 grandchildren,  and numerous great-grandchildren.

DeWayne will be greatly missed by his community.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Teton LDS Chapel, 44 West Main, Teton. The family will receive friends that morning from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. also at the church. Interment will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery with military rites. Arrangements are under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
