IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Diana
Winegar
November 27, 1960 – October 12, 2025
Diana Lynn Winegar or more commonly known as Dee Dee, was born November 27, 1960 in Ogden, Utah.
Her parents were Donald Lee and Joyce Pead. Her siblings are Loralie, Bob, Burt, Shelby and Casey.
Dee Dee attended school in St. Anthony. When she got to high school she met the love of her life Donald Winegar. He always had girls crushing over him but he no longer seemed to notice any of them, just Dee Dee.
They were married March 21, 1980 and started married life out in Parker. Soon, along came Jessica Dawn, then Michael Enos, and third came Dori Jo. They blessed with four grandson; Brendon, Jesse Lee, Taydon, and Hagen. Then came the two great grandsons Laker and Rowan. She loved her grandkids and would do anything for them.
They moved to New Castle, Wyoming, where they lived for about 3 years. But missing Idaho and family, they moved back to Idaho and bought a home in Parker again. That's where they've lived ever since.
When the kids were young they enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping as a family.
Dee Dee always had pets from her first dog Molly (the puppy making machine) to her dog Winnie. She had dogs, cats, birds, fish, snakes, turtles, chipmunks, spiders, and even an emu.
Dee Dee liked to watch football and the rodeo with Donny. They supported South Fremont Sports. You could always find them cheering on the local team especially at basketball and football games. She was a very crafty person. She was always making something. She loved to give not only her kids all the things she made but extended family and friends were also on the receiving end. Her latest thing to do was Diamond Art pictures and they are beautiful.
Dee Dee loved spending time with Donny, long car rides, and a Mt. Dew, and she was happy.
She worked out of the home a little bit like at Artco and there was a potato warehouse, but her favorite job was not working at all.
Walmart was another favorite place for Dee Dee. When she was upset with Donny, he would take her to Walmart and to make up she could get whatever she wanted.
Every year in March for their anniversary they would go to Salmon for the Steelhead run and camp along the river.
Dee Dee was a good cook, both in the kitchen and outside on the grill. On their birthdays, Dee Dee would make Donny an angel food cake and he would take her to town and let her pick out her cake.
Dee Dee's wishes were to have Donny by her side always, so his ashes are in the casket with her. It's hard to imagine how happy the two of them will be now that they are together again.
Donny passed away July 8, 2023. Dee Dee was broken hearted and didn't know how to function without him. She had a lot of support from family, friends, neighbors and her church family, but life was just never the same.
Last spring she fell and suffered a stroke which put her in the hospital. She needed rehabilitation so she went to The Life Care Center in Idaho Falls.
On October 12, 2025 she passed away peacefully in her sleep. We all believe from a broken heart. We will miss her dearly.
Donny wrote this little note to Dee Dee: Being there and seeing you makes my world better every day. Even though we have our rough times they have meaning to. Sorry to put you through this. I love you with all I have to give. Love Ya, Pa
