Obituary

Diane Ellen Fisher Bean, 62, of Irwin, Idaho passed away on February 4, 2021 in Idaho Falls, ID of causes due to an on-going illness. Diane was born on January 20, 1959 in Bethpage, Long Island, New York, to Robert Fisher and Virginia Peel. Diane attended Buena Park High in Buena Park, CA and El Dorado High in Placentia, CA.

Diane had a happy childhood as her family loved to travel all over California camping and exploring. Diane was out-going, made friends easily, and made people laugh with her bubbly personality. Her confidence led her to sing soprano in the high school choir, be a "Letterette" holding the letters of the school's initials in front of the marching band, dance on the high school dance team, play the flute in the band, act in plays, create crafts for her children, and teach children. Diane loved nature and the outdoors and could be found climbing trees, studying wildflowers, hiking, riding bikes to the ocean, being with her dogs, and enjoying rides in the truck with Bruce.

Diane met Bruce while waitressing at Denny's in St. George, UT. They were married in Ivins on March 25, 2000 and lived in St. George, Utah; Dell, Montana; Cody, WY; and most recently Irwin, ID. Diane loved being in nature with Bruce whether it was collecting rocks together, going fishing on Palisades Lake, watching birds in the yard, camping, or going on rides in his truck. As her health began to decline, Bruce lovingly took care of her during her final years.

Diane held many jobs in her youth including jumping off a high cliff as a pearl diver at the Japanese Deer Garden in Buena Park, CA; working at Disneyland during the summer with her family while wearing a Coca Cola outfit with a bottle cap for a hat; being a seamstress in a uniform shop; waitressing at different restaurants; and later as a CNA in nursing homes and at a troubled girls center. Diane especially enjoyed serving in the summers in Swan Valley, ID at week-long camps for children suffering with cancer. One of her most joyful moments was to receive her LDS temple endowment in the Rexburg, ID Temple a few weeks ago.

Diane is survived by her husband, Bruce Bean of Irwin, ID; her children, Jay (Tasha) Lovewell, Matthew Chambers, and Katie (Kevin) Osborn; step-children, Joshua Allen (Kim) Bean and Danielle (David) Bean; siblings Susan (Mark) Oulundsen, Donna (Ron) Fink, Darin Fisher, and Kevin (Karen) Fisher, along with 2 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Fisher.
