Donald Norman Kington, age 55, died Tuesday afternoon, May 21, 2013 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, ID, surrounded by family and friends.
Don was born in Ashton, ID, at Ashton Memorial Hospital on July 26, 1957. He attended school in the Madison School District, graduating from Madison High School in 1975.
He then served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New Mexico, Albuquerque Mission from July 1976 to July 1978.
Don married Virginia Solomon December 1, 1978. Together they raised six children. They later divorced. In July of 2004, Don married Julie Ann Sullivan.
Don had a diverse occupational history working many jobs in his life-time including careers with Ricks College, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center and Portnuef Medical Center. Don enjoyed multiple activities including engaging in political discussions, taking long drives, studying historical events and spending time with family and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his beloved mother and father, Norman and Thelma Kington.
Donald is survived by his wife Julie Ann Sullivan Kington of Idaho Falls, ID; his six children: Mandy Bridgeforth (Tony) of Boise, ID; Heath Kington (Melissa) of Dutch Harbor, AK; Amos Kington (Heidi) of Burley, ID; Holly Harris (Don) of Crescent Valley, NV; Gina Kington of Boise, ID; and Sam Kington (Ariel) of Rexburg, ID, as well as thirteen grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters Christie Ball (the late Marvin) of Rexburg, ID; and Denise Brown (Steve) of Pennsylvania.
