Donetta V Steiner, 69, of Ririe passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Gables of Ammon.  She was born February 4, 1955 in Rexburg, Idaho, to Vernon and Dona Josephson Steiner.

She attended schools in Madison County graduating from Madison High School.  After high school she worked a variety of jobs in the area.  Her favorite job was working as a clerk for the City of Rexburg for 21 years.

In her younger years she enjoyed archery hunting and was a member of the Upper Snake River Bowman Association and the Idaho State Bowman Club, where she held a variety of positions in the organizations.

She supported her children by attending all the rodeos and other sport activities they were involved in.

She enjoyed camping and taking her grandkids on rides in the mountains. She also liked riding horses in the mountains. Her favorite drink, Mountain Dew was always close at hand.  Going for a drive in the mountains was always her favorite go to activity.

She loved her grandkids and animals.  She will be remember for her infectious laugh.  No matter what she was going through she had a smile on her face and a positive attitude.

She is survived by her children, Riki (Jerrami) Marotz of Ashton, Idaho, and Britany (Dan) Jakubowski of Idaho Falls, Idaho, as well as her two grandchildren, Karlee (Shawn) Kozeal and  Katie (Jon) Harrold.  She was looking forward to the birth of her great grandson.  She is also survived by her sister, Sheila (Dick) Hill of Wilford, Idaho.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Kade Higley.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 16th at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg.  The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services.  Interment will be in the Pineview Cemetery in Ashton, ID.
