Obituary

Donna Willyne Abegglen, 82 of Wilford, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 26, 1931 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Francis R and Venla Cooper Wright. She attended school in Madison County and graduated from Madison High School.

She met and married Gene Abegglen and raised 8 wonderful children. She was a homemaker and piano teacher and spent her life taking care of those around her.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in numerous church callings in primary, relief society and young women. In her later years she also served at the church history center researching genealogy.

She had a deep love for music, gardening, quilting and crocheting. She lovingly served the community, her neighbors, friends and family. She will be deeply missed by those who had the opportunity to have her in their lives.

She is survived by her children, Sherry (Brent) Robison of Rexburg, ID; Cinda (Jerry) Loucks of Las Vegas, NV; Kim (Sherry) Abegglen of Garneill, MT; Zane (Cindy) Abegglen and Ryan (Audrey) Abegglen of St. Anthony, ID; Jacque (Brent) Gould of Layton, UT and Penny Albiston of Palm Desert, CA; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Abegglen of Idaho Falls, ID; brother Bob (Sherrel) Wright of Otis Orchards, WA; sisters, Ann (Glenn) Wickham of St. Anthony, ID and ReNae (Don) Hedges of Riverton, WY; and sister-in-law Jeanne Wright of Spokane, WA. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gene Abegglen; son, Mike Abegglen; brother, Roger Wright; and granddaughters, Beth Fair and Olivia Candice Abegglen.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilford LDS Chapel(215 N. 2400 E.) with Bishop Todd Brower officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (581 E. 1st N., St. Anthony) and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
