Donna Rose Williams Blanchard, 91, of Rexburg, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2017 of natural causes. She was born October 27,1925 at Chester, Idaho, the daughter of Florence L. Rose and Trevor Noah Williams. She attended school in Chester.
She married Arlo Dee Blanchard on October 28,1949 in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. They had five children. They lived on a ranch where they raised sheep and cattle and grew hay and grain. She worked tirelessly alongside her husband on the ranch and was completely devoted to her family. She was a homemaker and a wonderful example to her family and all who knew her.
Donna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different callings. She also served as a full time missionary in the Northern States Mission.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and the love of her life, "Dee". She was a great wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed supporting her children and grandchildren in their activities throughout the years.
She had a deep love for quilting, gardening, cooking, playing the organ and she adored singing with her husband.
She will be remembered for her positive disposition, her endless patience, her smile, her love of life and her love for many friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Rick (Shellie) of Chester, Kerry (Yvonne) of Rigby, Bruce (Teresa) of Rexburg, Todd (Carol) of Hibbard and son-in-law Dick Olson of St. Anthony, 19 grand children and 30 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dee, daughter Anita and brother Keith.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Rexburg Center Stake (500 Summerwood Drive). The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Tuesday at the stake center from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Chester Cemetery.
