Donna Holman Harris, 89, of Sugar City, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Homestead Assisted Living in Rexburg of natural causes. She was born October 7, 1919 in Sugar City to Ezekiel Loader and Stella Mae Jacobs Holman.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She played the organ and piano for numerous choirs at church and community events and also at many funerals. She also enjoyed writing music.

In 1951, she started working for the US Postal Service. At the time of her retirement in 1984 she was the postmistress at the Sugar City post office.

She was an avid reader and she enjoyed solving cross word puzzles.

She is survived by her children, Lynn (Kathy) Harris of Thompson Falls, Montana, Susan (Dale) Jeppesen of Rexburg, Reed Harris of Idaho Falls; 8 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 5 at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
