Doris Erma Johns, 76 of St. Anthony, passed away March 26, 2015 at Homestead Assisted Living Center in St. Antony from natural causes.
She was born August 8, 1938 in Brandon, South Dakota to Ray and Helen Sutton. She graduated from Holy Cross School of nursing in Salt Lake City. Following graduation she started her nursing career in Nevada where she eventually met and married the love of her life, Bill Johns, in Elko, Nevada in 1961.
After retiring from careers in Yakima, Washington, Bill and Doris moved to Plano, Idaho to be closer to their family. Doris loved attending every activity of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Johns of St. Anthony, ID; daughters, Beth (Mark) Cannon of St. Anthony, ID; and Sheri (Larry) Fry of Meridian, ID; grandchildren, Katie (Trevor) Ostberg of West Yellowstone, MT; Kelsey (Jake) Pearson of Rock Springs, WY; Tyler and Kellie Fry of Meridian, ID; and 1 great granddaughter Oakley Ostberg. She is also survived by her brother, Lewis (Jean) Sutton of Spokane, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (581 E. 1st N., St. Anthony). The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
