Obituary

Eileen Gamble Peck passed away March 5, 2023 with her daughter by her side. Eileen was born October 24, 1932 to Theodore Roosevelt Gamble and Ella Kingsford Gamble. Eileen was born in Grace, Idaho. She grew up with three brothers, Max, Melvin, and Garry Gamble. She was raised in Granger, Utah (now West Valley City). Eileen then graduated from Granite High School in 1950. Eileen married Glenn Peck on August 22, 1950. They adopted two beautiful children KayLynne and Keven. Later, they divorced. Eventually, in 1966 she met Bill Robinson and they were married. In 1980, she moved to Rexburg, Idaho to be closer to her grandchildren. She worked at BYU, an accounting office and a doctor's office and various other places. She worked at Madison Memorial for 13 years as the personnel director. She retired in 1998.

Eileen loved to travel with her friends. She had some of the best! Some of the places they traveled to were Australia, Alaska, Fiji, New York, New Zealand, and Nauvoo. Eileen loved learning and took many classes at different colleges and universities wherever she lived. She loved sewing, cooking & reading, and loved to sing. She had a beautiful voice.

Eileen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served a family history mission in Salt Lake City, Utah where she served as assistant to the mission president. She was an officiator and coordinator for the Idaho Falls & Rexburg temples. She served as a primary teacher, nursery leader, stake young women secretary, and a relief society counselor at the age of 82.

Eileen loved her family. She has 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. They meant everything to her. She was a big part of her grandchildren's life. She loved to have the at her house to spend the night. She especially loved their celebrations on the holidays. She created many happy memories that her family will cherish forever.

Eileen was cared for by Aspen Home Health and Hospice and lived at The Homestead in Rexburg the last six months. Her family feels so blessed to have had the love and care she needed before her death.

Eileen is survived by her daughter KayLynne (Lane) Arnold of Rexburg, and son Keven Peck of Pocatello, 6 grand children and 14 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, March 13, 2023 from 11:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m. with a viewing before from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at the Rexburg 4th & 15th Ward Chapel.
