Dorothy Mae Walker Taylor was called home to her loving Father in Heaven on Sunday, April 20, 2014.
Dorothy was born on October 14, 1920 in St. Anthony, Idaho, the daughter of George Alma Walker and Hazel Jane McOmber. She attended school in St. Anthony and graduated from St. Anthony High School.
She married Bert R. Taylor on October 23, 1940 in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on August 19, 1953.
Dorothy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings including in the Ward and Stake Primary, Ward and Stake Relief Society, 2 nd counselor in the Regional Welfare Group, Stake Librarian, nursery leader and visiting teacher.
She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Bert; her father and mother; sisters, Betty Jean Walker, Darlene DaVae Walker Pincock; brothers Alma Ray Walker, Robert Lee Walker, Merrill J. Walker, Garry L and Larry K. Walker (twins); and a great granddaughter, Brittany Clark.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn T. Clark, Laureen (Kent) Wallis, Maureen (Tom) DeSpain, Jeanne Tidwell, Steven Bert (Terry) Taylor and Susan (David) Davis; brother Terry Clyde (Carolyn) Walker, 26 grandchildren; 67 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Anthony LDS Stake Center (247 E. 4
th
N.) with Bishop Drostan Orme of the St. Anthony First Ward officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (581 E. 1
st
N.) and on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 12:45 p.m. at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
