What a sweet reunion that took place Sunday night, May 25, 2025, as E. Harold Jones was reunited with his sweetheart of 72 years.

Harold was born September 13, 1930, in Ogden, Utah to Harold E. Jones and Eva T. Williams Jones. He graduated from Ogden High School and Weber State. He married the love of his life, Ena Cleone Jones, April 24, 1953, in the Logan, Ut Temple and together they created a beautiful family. Deborah (Larry) Draper, Rebecca (Craig) Brady, David Harold (Melanie) Jones, Brent Alma (Linda) Jones, Teresa (Frank) Prater, Rodney Alan (Amy) Jones, and Chad Monson Jones, who, with mom, met him at the veil.

Faith and family were the primary focus of Dad's entire life. He treasured his testimony of Jesus Christ and his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints. He magnified every calling that came his way and wore out his life in the service of his Master. He served in the Texas/Louisiana Mission in his youth and then was also blessed to serve three missions with his dear wife. Michigan, Detroit; Nebraska, Omaha; and the Nauvoo Temple. These were highlights in their life as was their many years of service in their wards and in the Idaho Falls and Rexburg Temples. Family was everything to Dad. He considered himself the richest man on earth because of his posterity - which to date numbers 226. He and mom were not only blessed with their 7 children, but also 32 grandchildren; 111 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. He knew and loved each one. He and mom gathered the entire family together for a week-long reunion each summer for 34 years and we in turn carry on that tradition that was set by them; striving to strengthen those family bonds… "because at the end of the day, it's all you can take with you."

Dad successfully worked in banking and the insurance industry but always considered his career just something to finance time with his family. Dad loved to fish and hunt – again because he could share that time and love with his family. Dad loved people. He took a deep interest in them and in the details of their life. He lifted and inspired all who were blessed to know him. Dad was full of joy and always brought the fun. He and mom were a dynamic duo in this way.

He is survived by his younger sister, Lois Willis and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. We are grateful for and find comfort in the Savior's Atonement that makes eternal families possible. He wants us all to be together again someday, and in the meantime, we know that he and Mom will continue to fulfill their parental role of watching over each of us. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31, at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS East Stake Center. 387 S. 4th E., Rexburg, Idaho. A viewing will be held Friday, May 30 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 31, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at the Preston, Idaho cemetery at 2:45 PM.
