Obituary

Edward L Rawson, 75 of St. Anthony Died Friday May 28, 2021 after a courageous battle with leukemia at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born April 20, 1946 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Leslie LeRoy and Sarah Elizabeth Wright Rawson. He attended St. Anthony schools and obtained his GED in Idaho Falls.

Ed married Daran Gay McCurdy on December 15, 1967 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in many locations from Utah, Wyoming to Idaho where they lived in Rexburg, Newdale and the last 35 years made their home in St. Anthony.

During the years of moving from place to place he worked in several saw mills, was a truck driver and worked for Young Electric Sign Company as a sign electrician installing billboards and repairing signs throughout the region.

After retiring he started a pallet recycling business working with some of his grandsons.

Throughout his life his greatest passions have been his family, the outdoors and the gospel. He loved to take his boat, camper and truck and head out on the next adventure. Those adventures always involved hunting, fishing, and going for long drives with his family and friends. Making memories and making people laugh were always important to him

Whatever he did he did it for his loved ones. He filled our family with laughter and love. He created wonderful memories for us all. We will miss his teasing, long talks, his amazing cooking and strong hugs. He was always a friend to anyone. He never meet a person that he didn't want to talk to.
He loved life and his family. He left us to move on to his next adventure and prepare for us all to be with him again. Those who knew and loved him are left without our father, grandfather, friend and hero.

He is survived by his wife Daran McCurdy Rawson, children Jeffrey (Kristy), Jeanette Zundel, Lisa (Andrew) Benson and Michael (Tracy). He is also survived by brothers, Charles and Alvin and sisters, Martha Russell, Florence Bauer and Lyla Prather. He was preceded by his parents, brothers William, Bert, Richard, sister Mary and grandson Kelton Zundel.
