Edna R. Jensen, 93, of Rexburg, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015, at her home of natural causes.
She was born February 9, 1922, in Hyrum, Utah, to Joseph and Theresa Reynolds. She enjoyed her youth in Wellsville, Utah with her four brothers and six sisters.
While serving in the WAC's during World War II, she met and married Heber M Jensen in Kensington, Maryland. After the war ended their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple and they began life together in Burton, Idaho. Their home was blessed with three children, Trisa, Linda and Jerry. She lost her eternal companion in 1973.
She spent her time working at M. H. Kings in Rexburg and Ricks College in the library. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She also served as a temple worker in Idaho Falls.
Her favorite pastime was quilting. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, baking treats for the neighbors and tending her yard. Edna always remembered her family's birthdays and even sent cards to their spouses.
Edna was very prepared for life. Her wood was stacked, canning done and ready to meet the new day. She will be missed by all that knew her warm smile and zest for life.
She is survived by her children, Trisa (Keith) Martin of Bountiful, Utah, Linda (Guy) Shingleton of Castle Rock, Colorado and Jerry (Barbara) Jensen of Blackfoot; 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; brothers Joseph Reynolds of Wellsville, Utah and Carl Reynolds of Las Vegas, Nevada.
