Edna LaNor Virgin Orr, 90 of Egin, ID, died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at her home of causes incident to age.
She was born January 8, 1922 in Sugar City, Idaho to Enos Owen and Edna Minerva Cluff Virgin. She graduated from Sugar Salem Highschool and LDS Seminary, Ricks College, and Idaho State University.
She Married Charles Clayland Orr on March 11, 1949 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He Died March 23, 1975.
Edna served a mission to the Eastern States and was a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She taught school at Egin, St. Anthony and Parker. She served in numerous positions in the LDS Church including; Relief Society President, Young Women's President and Primary President.
Her hobbies included reading, vegetable gardening, flower gardening and canning.
She is survived by children, Valeea (Allan) Quigg; Deborah (Ray) Charles; Charles V. Orr; Aleen Orr and Sheila (Bud) Gould; sisters, Barbara (Keith) Peterson; DaRell (Richard) Lage and Myrna Keckler; a brother LaMar Virgin; 16 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren with 3 on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Delwin Virgin; 2 sisters, Mona Howell and GeNeve Roseborough; and 5 children, Joseph Owen; Melanie; Melody; Kevin and ElRay who all died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Egin LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary. The family suggests contributions to the South Fremont Education Foundation.
