Elma Lue Bair (85) of St Anthony ID passed away March 28, 2018 in Rexburg, ID of natural causes.
She was born April 9, 1932 in Parker, ID. a daughter of Margaret and William Palmer. She was the oldest of four siblings. She grew up in Ogden, UT and attended Weber High School.
She was married to Robert Bair for 58 years making their home in St Anthony ID. They farmed and ranched on the Bair Homestead where they raised their two boys Gary and Terry. She was acknowledged as Cattlewoman of the year by the Fremont-Madison Cattelman's Association in 1992. She enjoyed her time spent on cattle drives and especially time with Buzz and Sylvia Miller. She loved having her grandkids join them on the range and teaching them that way of life.
She was an amazing cook, especially when it came to her apple roll and huckleberry cheesecake.
She is survived by her brother Dean (Mony) Palmer of Layton, UT and sister Janet Hammon of West Haven, Utah, her two sons Gary (Wendy) Bair of Idaho Falls, ID and Terry (Corina) Bair of Chester, ID. 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Robert Bair, mother Margaret (Jake) Wangsguard, her father William (Faye) Palmer, brother Doc (Maxine) Palmer, 5 stillborn children, and 7 babies.
Funeral Services will be held at the Wilford Church, Tuesday April 3rd at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop John Sharp officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
