Elva Loretta Young Kornegay, daughter of Ila Young and Brigham Sherman Young, was born on February 26, 1945 in Provo Utah. She grew up in Roosevelt, Utah, got married in Albertson, North Carolina, and retired and moved to Johnstown, Colorado to be close to family. She passed away in Rexburg, Idaho at the Homestead Assisted Living. She was married to Roy Darrell Kornegay for 30 years. Together they have two loving children. She is survived by her son Nyles Young Kornegay, her daughter Lori Kornegay Davis and son in law James Arthur Davis, and her grandchildren Jacob Brooks Davis and Savannah Lynn Everton. She worked many jobs at the Wake Med hospital for over 25 years in Raleigh, North Carolina and is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and making cards and crafts for others. She was well known for her sweet and loving personality.
