Eric Everett Thomas left this world peacefully on May 12, 2022. He was born April 22, 1969 to D.A. "Butch" and Kathrine Thomas. Eric grew up and spent much of his life in Saint Anthony, he briefly moved to Boise where he attended ITT Technical Institute and earned an Associate of Applied Science in Computer-Aided Drafting. As soon as he finished school he returned home and took a job with Lockheed-Martin at the Idaho National Laboratory. After the Lockheed contract ended he took an early retirement from the INL and operated a business in Saint Anthony before his health forced him to sell it and permanently retire. Eric spent his life in service of others, at the time of his death he was a member in good standing with the Fremont County Search & Rescue along with North Fremont Fire Department.

He is survived by his Brothers Josh (Julie) Thomas of Saint Anthony, Jeramia (Emily) Thomas of Boise, Trevor Thomas of Idaho Falls, Sisters Paula (Eric) Turner of Pocatello, and Brenna Fox of Livingston, MT, and Stepmother Teri Thomas of Wilford. He is preceded in death by his Father D.A. "Butch" Thomas, Mother Kathrine Miller, and Grandparents A.G. "Rusty" and Dorothy Thomas and Jack and Audrey Miller.

A final drive procession will travel down Bridge Street in St. Anthony on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at approximately 7:30 p.m. organized by the Fremont County Search and Rescue, Fremont County Sheriff's office, Fremont County EMS, and the North Fremont fire Department. The public is invited to line the street to pay their respects and remember Eric's contributions to FCSAR.

Eric's family would like to invite friends to gather and share memories on Friday May 20, 2022 from 5 PM to 8 PM at The Opera House at 533 Fremont St., Ashton, ID. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in Eric's name to Fremont County Search & Rescue 331 W. 1st S. Saint Anthony, ID 83445.
