Eric Todd Weston, 35, of Rexburg, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at his home of natural causes. He was born October 24, 1974 the eldest son of Marlin and Nancy Weston. He drew his family back into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after his arrival in their home in Colorado Springs, Colorado thirty-five years ago.

He was a good student, and would ride his bicycle from early morning seminary over to the high school. Sometimes it was rough riding in the winter! He was enthusiastic about computers and video games, and had good friends who shared his interests.

After high school, Eric attended Front Range Community College in Fort Collins. He enjoyed the American Sign Language class. He worked for Arby's during his spare time. He enjoyed working with the customers and would sometimes use his employee discount to bring home a treat for the family.

Eric had many interests in his life, including computers and music. He was serving as ward choir president at the time of his death. He loved singing with the choir and took part in a men's chorus the week before his death. He was eager to learn. He recently started organ lessons. It wasn't easy, but he enjoyed it.

He was always friendly and would smile and greet anyone he saw. He enjoyed helping others by mowing lawns, shoveling snow, or house painting. Brightening another's day and helping were his favorite paychecks. He was always willing to go the extra mile.

He endured many difficult trials in his life, he faced them well and grew stronger. He always reached out to strengthen and encourage those around him. Shortly before his passing, he had been encouraging a younger sister and reaching out to help her.

We will miss Eric very much. He was a valuable family member with many talents.

He is survived by his parents of Rexburg; siblings, Aaron (Michelle) Weston of Meeker, CO, Emma (Thomas Brunz) Weston of Denver, CO, Stacy (Nathan) Pritchard of Greeley, CO, Dana (Jennifer) Weston of Rexburg, Deirdre Weston of North Dakota; three nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 30 at the Rexburg LDS North Stake Center, 314 East 2nd North. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center. Burial will be in the Pratt Cemetery in Alta, Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Humanitarian and Perpetual Education funds of the LDS church are encouraged.
