Erna Siddoway Whitaker, 72, of Teton, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2015 .

Erna was the fourth child of Ern and Geneva Siddoway being born in Teton City, Idaho on October 4th, 1943. She attended grade school in Teton and graduated from South Fremont High School. She also graduated from Links Business College.

On June 14, 1963, Erna married the love of her life, Cal Whitaker. Over the years Cal and Erna developed a special union that was filled with friends, family, and a special love for each other. They especially loved their nieces and nephews, family reunions and their "shopping trips." During this time, Erna developed a talent for giving unique gag gifts and she loved a good prank now and again. Erna had a special talent for remembering details and if anyone needed information on anything she was the one to call!

Erna worked for several doctors in the area, including Dr. Krueger, Dr. Creighton, and Dr. Lovell. She was well respected and loved by those she worked with and enjoyed many special friendships. She and Cal lived in Ashton, St. Anthony, and ended their years in Teton.

After Cal's death on September 2, 2004, Erna involved herself in attending the temple with her best friend, Barbara, her book clubs, and DUP. Erna is survived by many nieces and nephews and several brothers and sister's in law.

Funeral services for Erna will be held on Monday, December 21st, at 11:00 at the Teton Ward LDS Church. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 prior to Monday's service at the church. Interment will follow the services at the Teton-Newdale Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary. The family suggests donations be made to the South Fremont Education Foundation at P.O. box 263, St Anthony, Id 83445.
