Ethel Marx
Ethel Marx, 86 of Chester, ID, passed away April 19, 2015 at her home of natural causes.

She was born on July 14, 1928 in Crystal Lake, Illinois to Oscar and Jemimie McIntyre Carlson. She was the youngest of nine siblings.

As a young adult Ethel made her way out to California. She began working her way back to Illinois but met and married Peter Marx on May 5, 1961 in Idaho. They have lived in various places between Soda Springs, ID and Ennis, MT where she worked different jobs from the potato fields to waiting tables and eventually retiring as a cook.

She helped raise Pete's children, Patty Thernes of Idaho Falls, ID; Tom Marx of Drake, ND; Connie Fleming of Chester, ID and Pete Marx of Idaho Falls, ID. Her grandchildren Steve Bullock, Jonathon Ashford, Amanda Campbell, KC Marx, Frank Fleming and five great grandchildren helped make her family complete.

Forty years ago Ethel and Pete found their dream place and bought a piece of land in Chester, ID. After retiring she began going to the South Fremont Senior Center to enjoy a good meal and to play Pinochle and Bingo. She then began volunteering, helping set tables and serve meals. She went on to also become Entertainment Director fro eighteen years and eventually also became a member of the Board of Directors, all of which she retired from early this year.

There will not be any funeral services planned.
