Our sweet Wife, Mother, and Grandmother passed away May 5, 2013. What joy she must be experiencing right now!
Evelyn Parke Craner was born on October 31, 1929 in Declo, Idaho. She lived life in such a beautiful way, whether she was serving as a Mission President's wife in the Philippines, as Matron of the Logan Temple, in a semester abroad program in Israel, or having the neighborhood children in to make gingerbread houses.
She is gracious, inspiring, and fun! She enjoyed genealogy, handwork, baking, gardening and their cabin. She is greatly loved because she loved greatly.
Her eyes sparkle especially for her loving husband. The example of their marriage is such a gift to their posterity. We have all been blessed to witness a real love story throughout our lives.
She is missed greatly by all and especially by her husband Max W. Craner, her six daughters and sons-in-law: Diane & Rex Brown, Brenda & Stan Benedict, Maxine & Russ Benedict, Teresa & Richard Western, Susan & Tim Mecham, Veanne & Van Elg, and 126 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also missed by her younger sister Cleone and Richard Moncur of Declo, Idaho. How grateful we are for the knowledge that we will be together forever! Evelyn is welcomed home by her parents, Vasco & Teresa Parke; Nadine & John Banner (sister and brother–in-law), and many wonderful friends and relatives that await her.
We will honor her by striving to follow her Christ like example of love and charity, compassion, sense of dignity, love of life, kindness and wonderful sense of humor.
