Evelyn Julia Clark Mason June 11, 1926 - April 14, 2023
Evelyn Mason passed away peacefully the evening of April 14th at the Ashton Living Center with two of her children and a granddaughter at her side.
She is survived by siblings Annetta Hendrickson, Edgar Clark and Jay Clark; children and spouses W. Clark Mason (Renee), Rashell Cardell, Douglas Mason (Shari), Debra Dorcheus (Shane) Shawna Bryan (Bill); 28 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.
Evelyn was born June 11, 1926 about 6 p.m. in the home of her paternal grandparents on a farm about two miles south of Rexburg, Idaho. The daughter of Stanley Albert Clark and Julia Etta Miller. She was the oldest of 7 children.
She married Willis B Mason in the Idaho Falls Temple on December 3, 1946. They were happily married until his death on January 3, 1997.
She subsequently married Doyle Lynn Neeley September 16, 2009 in St. Anthony, Idaho. They were happily married until his death on June 24, 2020.
Evelyn taught Junior High in St. Anthony for many years touching the lives of hundreds of students. She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints throughout her life serving in many capacities. She was actively involved in the community, including serving on the St. Anthony City Council.
Evelyn was devoted to her family, and had a huge impact on the lives of her children and grand-children as well as her extended family. She was loved and respected by all who know her.
She loved and lived the gospel of Jesus Christ and tried to instill that in her posterity. She was an example of love and service. She will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Anthony 3rd - 4th ward chapel at 507 West 2nd North, St. Anthony, Idaho. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
