IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Feliciano "Shorty"
Sanchez
August 8, 1956 – December 1, 2020
Feliciano Sanchez, 64, known in the community as "Chano" and "Shorty" or "Grandpa" and "Chulo" in his family, passed away on December 1, 2020. Chano was born on August 8, 1956, in Tamazula, Durango, Mexico to Francisco Sanchez and Bonifacia Lopez. He moved to the United States when he was 16 to try his luck. In Idaho, he met Susana Gutierrez, and soon after they were married. They settled down in St. Anthony and raised three children, Brenda, Edi, and Chano.
Shorty was best known for his positivity, fun and teasing sense of humor, work ethic, and constant willingness to help those around him. He worked for Alda and Kent Remington for years and had many titles. The best one being "their boy." He also was a driver for Simplot, and on his days off as a woodsman and anything else anyone needed him to be- even if that happened to be a Choo-Choo Train. Chano loved being in the woods whether that be camping or working. Shorty had always been a busy body. He could always be found chopping wood, fixing cars, swimming in the canal, grilling, and tending to his garden. If he was not outside it meant he was finally taking a break, and you could bet your bottom dollar that he was drinking coffee and watching a western film.
Chano in short was a kind, giving, and loving father, husband, brother, grandfather, and friend loved by all. He was a pillar in the community because of his generosity and magnetic personality. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him, but most of all by his wife Susana Gutierrez and his children Brenda Godoy, Edi Sanchez, and Chano Sanchez.
