Fern Crain Bishoff, 96, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 21, 2018.
Fern was born December 21, 1921 in St. Anthony, Idaho to Harry Vern Crain and Mary Catherine Woolsey Crain. She was the third child born of 6 children. She attended elementary school Sand Creek and then graduated from South Fremont High School in St. Anthony.
Fern met George Bishoff on the 24th of July 1938 and the two were married June 8, 1940. They built their home on highway 33 where they farmed and raised two sons, Bill and Ted. Ted continued to farm on the homestead while Bill ran a successful farm in Ashton.
Fern worked at the Seed House in Sugar City for many years and was an active member of the Women's Bowling Association. She and George competed regularly and won many awards.
Fern was a member of the LDS Church and had her family sealed October 11, 2013.
She is predeceased by her husband, George, and both of their sons. She is survived by 5 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and her daughter-in-law Kay Bishoff.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan 24 at the LDS 4th Ward church, 6 Teton Ave, Sugar City. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Bert Flamm Mortuary in St. Anthony and again at the church from 10 – 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Internment will be in the Teton - Newdale Cemetery
