On Tuesday May 14, 2013, Mary Fern Huskinson Schofield (Fern) passed away at her home in Idaho Falls from natural causes. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. Fern was 96-years-old. Fern was born on November 4, 1916 at Moody Creek, Idaho to John Willard Huskinson and Mary Elizabeth Bush Huskinson. On February 2, 1935 she married Elwin Russell Schofield of Teton, Idaho. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 18, 1940. Fern worked side by side with Elwin from the time they were married until Elwin passed away in 1972. She lived in Alta, Wyoming; Moody Creek, Idaho; Wilford, Idaho; Rexburg, Idaho; and Idaho Falls, Idaho. Fern worked at Madison High School as custodian and enjoyed her time there with all of the staff and students. Fern was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Templeview Ward. She was the youngest of nine siblings. Fern was preceded in death by parents: John and Mary Huskinson, her husband: Elwin, one daughter: Susan Ferguson, and her siblings: John (Irving) Huskinson, Albert Huskinson, Gladys (Ricks), Ethel (Huskinson), William Huskinson, Raymond Huskinson, Florence (Lueck), and Hazel (Smith). Grandson Derid Phillips. Fern is survived by 3 daughters and 2 sons: Jean (Steve) Nuendorf of Issaquah, Washington, Jo (Richard) Martin of Shelley, Idaho, Jack (Kricket) Schofield of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Marge (Larry) Ellis of Newdale, Idaho, and Hal (Gloria) Schofield of Idaho Falls, Idaho. Fern had 25 grandchildren, 46 great- grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Idaho Falls West Stake Center, 2040 Brentwood, in Idaho Falls, in Idaho Falls from 6 pm to 7:30 pm on Friday May 17, 2013. Funeral services will also be at the Stake Center on Saturday May 18, 2013 at 11:00 am with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, Idaho.
