Forest "Bud" Adair Cullum, 83, of Rexburg, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at his home of natural causes. He was born May 28, 1927 in Luray, Kansas to Roy and Elizabeth Edna Whiteman Cullum. He attended school in Kansas and California, and graduated Torrance High School. He attended San Diego Jr.College sponsored by Convair.
He served in the US Navy for 6 months and eight days before receiving a medical discharge.
He was a member of the Pentacostal Church, Church of God, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He worked as a farmer, steel worker, and as a machinist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making model aircraft, and doing auto-restoration.
He married Laverta Florida Smith on July 3, 1946. They were later divorced. He married Patricia Baugh on September 19, 1966. They later divorced. He married Beverly Bates Webster on May 28, 1976. She preceded him in death in 2002.
He is survived by a son, Ronald Monroe Cullum of Perris, California and a daughter, Gael (Kirk) Benson of Alpine, Utah as well as 21 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. He is survived by his step children, Kirk (Rita) Webster of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Kevin (Janet) Webster of LaBell, Idaho and Shawn (Lisa) Webster of Rexburg, Idaho. He is also survived by his brother Dale LaVern Cullum of Pittsburg, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by his wives, Laverta Florida Smith, Patricia Baugh and Beverly Webster Cullum, and a son, Michale DeWayne Cullum.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 20th at the Rexburg East Stake Center with Bishop Merv Brown officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 at the stake center prior to services.
