Obituary

Frank Chamberlain Clark Jr., 87, of Rexburg, passed away Tuesday Dec 11 at Rexburg Care and Rehab Center, following a series of strokes. The family expresses their love and appreciation for all the tender care he received from all the staff at the Center.

He was born May 28, 1925 in Medford, OR to Frank Chamberlain Clark Sr. and Grace Barnes Wilson. He grew up and attended schools in Medford OR.

He joined the Navy at age 17 and served during WWII on Battleship USS California.

He married Jean MacDougall in 1945. They had two daughters. They were later divorced. He married Jeannine Percy in 1964. They had two daughters and three sons.

Frank joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1964 in Medford OR and has been a faithful member ever since. He served in many capacities including seminary teacher, counselor to two bishops, high councilman, and counselor in a Stake Presidency. Most recently he enjoyed his calling as a home teacher, a teacher in the High Priests Quorum, and as a volunteer at the Family History Center.

His places of employment include Pacific Power and Light in Medford, Medford Ice and Storage, Potlatch Corp in Lewiston ID, and Artco in Rexburg.

Frank received his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Lewis Clark State College in Lewiston ID.

He belonged to the VFW in Rexburg and formed good friendships with the other members. He also had an interest in ham radio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Frances, Louise, and Jimmie, and grandsons Joshua, Eugene, and Leslie Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, children Teri Jean Clark of Portland, OR, Kimberly Haylock (Chuck) of Oregon City, OR, Carmel Irwin (Michael) of Camden County, NJ, Guy Clark (Machel) of Rupert, ID, Cindi Digerness (Eric) of Silt, CO, Joshua Clark (Charity) of Idaho Falls and Luke Clark of Rexburg; a brother Eddie (Anitra) Clark of Crescent City, CA, and 13 grandchildren (Rose, Matt, Mauri, Nick, Asia, Sidney Jo, Logan, Canyon, Journey, Meridian, Kolton, Jonah and Riley.)

Frank enjoyed people and was loved for his sense of humor, kindness, and ability to help people feel important. He was also known for his quirky habit of counting things. We will be missing him, but will be smiling at all the memories.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, at the Rexburg Center Stake chapel, 590 Summerwood Drive. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
