Franklin D. Moore, 75, of Rexburg, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in Rexburg. He was born February 6, 1934 in Rexburg, the son of Webster Juan Moore and Margaret Josephine Cropus Moore. He was raised at Hibbard where he attended elementary school. He graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg where he participated in football and track. He also attended Ricks College on a football scholarship.

He married Joy LeVonne Garner on October 24,1958 in Rexburg. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a ward clerk and as a worker in the Idaho Falls temple. He worked for the Idaho State Transportation Department as a heavy equipment operator. He retired in 1992. He enjoyed the outdoors, horses and motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife LeVonne of Rexburg and children; Gary D. (Jennie) Moore of Logan, Utah, Marti Jo (John) Schliep of Tacoma, Washington, Gregory J. (Alice) Moore of St. Anthony, Shauna L (Bryce) Williams of Rexburg, Daniel F. (Jessica) Moore of Rigby, a sister, Jerrie (Bob) Keele of Rexburg and 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a baby brother, Micky Webb Moore and a sister, Colleen Hathaway.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 25, at the Burton 2nd Ward Chapel (3958 West 2000 South) with Bishop Kevin Stanger officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and again from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
