Obituary

Beloved husband, father grandfather and friend, Gail Delbert Woolstenhulme, 83 of St. Anthony, died Sunday, October 27, 2013.

He was born March 5, 1930 in Victor, Idaho to Delbert George and Velma Johnson Woolstenhulme.
Gail Spent his early years in the heart of the Teton Valley with 2 sisters and 3 brothers. He attended Teton Valley Schools. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the age of 8.
Some of his great loves were his horses and the family ranch. In 1952 he married his sweetheart Marlene Calderwood in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He attended National Guard cooking school was later drafted into the Army where he worked as a telephone lineman serving until receiving an honorable release.

Gail's life centered around his wife, children and his love of animals. He always had show quality horses, cows, and goats and his prize winning chickens. He worked for many years as director of the small animal barn at the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Many days were spent on horseback in the hills and country wherever he lived. He was a fun loving easy going man. He loved reading Louis L'amour books and cowboy poetry.

He is survived by his Wife Marlene of St. Anthony, ID; children, Sandra Woolstenhulme (Nell Holtzclaw) of Rigby, ID; Daryl (Ruth) Woolstenhulme of Montpelier, ID; DeNean (Don) Card of Wenatchee, WA; Lana (Kevin) Wright of Tremonton, UT; Sheila (Terry) Horn of St. Anthony, ID; Lisa (Bruce) Hancock of Tremonton, UT; and Wade (Chris) Woolstenhulme of Payson, UT; Siblings, Hal Woolstenhulme of Victor, ID; Clarin (Cliveen) Woolstenhulme of Idaho Falls, ID; Avon (Quinn) Harrell of St. George, UT and Max (JoAnn) Woolstenhulme of Driggs, ID; 26 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Keri Lynn and older sister, Delores Pratt.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wilford LDS Chapel (215 N. 2400 E.) with Bishop Brent Thompson of the St. Anthony 2nd Ward officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (581 E. 1st N., St. Anthony) and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
