Gale Perrenoud

Gale H. Perrenoud, 94, of Rexburg passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 at Homestead Assisted Living.

Gale was born January 25, 1932 in Hibbard, Idaho, the son of Leslie Perrenoud and Mary Norma Hendricks. Gale grew up in Plano with his brother Kay and sister Myrna.

When Gale turned 19 he was drafted into the Army and served in the Korean war. On his leave home he married ReNee Harris of Sugar City in 1951 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They had a son, Gregg. They later divorced.

Gale started driving truck for Farmers feed in Rexburg and drove all over the west. Then in 1961 he started working for Bairs driving a gas truck, then for Blair-Dean Inc., then for Mark Bennion. He drove so many miles over the years.

Gale married Wanda Muir on June 28, 1958 in Rexburg, Idaho. They had one daughter Tamara Gale (Anderson).

Gale enjoyed riding horses, snowmachining, camping, four-wheeling and going on fishing trips with friends.

Gale and family moved out to Hibbard in 1979 and he loved being back out in the country. They had 5 acres and had a few cows, his horse, and a big garden.

When Gale turned 90 he sold his place in Hibbard and moved next to his daughter in Rigby. In December he moved into The Homestead in Rexburg.

Gales wife Wanda passed away in 2010 and his son Gregg in 2013. He is survived by his daughter Tamara (Karl) Anderson, 3 grandchildren: Adam, Brandon & Garrett Anderson, 5 great-grandchildren, and his sister Myrna Nix of Lehi, Utah.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, at 1:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, a visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. till 12:45 p.m.
