Obituary

Garrett Robert Costa passed away April 2, 2013 at EIRMC due to illness.
Garrett Robert Costa was born January 25,1971 into a yours, mine, and ours family to Joseph Robert Costa and Norma Louise (Lou) Cummings Morris. He was the youngest of 6 children. He spent his first twelve years in Norwalk, California before moving to Rexburg, Idaho when his father retired, in 1983.
He graduated from Madison High School in 1990, then went on to ISU Pocatello where he graduated with a degree in Diesel Mechanics.
While at ISU, he met and married Shauna Hill. They had a son Wyatt Robert Costa, (February 29, 1992) Unfortunately the marriage didn't last and they divorced in 1994.
After graduation he went to work for Killpack, where he found he'd rather be behind the wheel, than under the hood. Thru the years he held a variety of trucking jobs, and continued his education by receiving several specialized trucking certifications
In 1998 he met Rhea Jeannine Pena. They got married on August 26, 2000. They had two wonderful daughters, Millie Roberta Costa (August 4, 2010), and Emmie Jean Costa (January 20, 2014).
Due to health issues he had to stop driving in 2017. He held a few jobs, then went to work for Standard Plumbing. After two years in the Rexburg location, he worked himself up to Assistant Manager and was transferred to Driggs. He got the itch to get back into trucking though, and went to work as a dispatcher for Super T in Idaho Falls.
He had many hobbies over the years, and loved spending time with his girls.
He is survived by his wife Rhea, his son Wyatt, his daughters, Millie and Emmie, his sister Jamie (Michael) Murphy, his brothers, Randy (Liz) Morris, Joe (Mary) Costa, and sister Jolynn Costa, along with 16 nieces and nephews, and their spouses, and 13 great nieces and nephews, He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lou Costa and his sister Mickey Morris Wells.
A Celebration of His Life will be held at the LDS Chapel, 312 E 2nd N North, Rexburg, ID 83440, April 29, 2023 at 11am.
