IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gary
Bell
May 6, 1956 – September 18, 2025
Gary Lelen Bell, 69, died Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Homestead Assisted Living in St. Anthony, Idaho. He was born on May 6, 1956, in Rexburg Idaho to Sherrill and Lillian Bell. This 2lb baby was a surprise to his parents since he was born three months early and there was not just one baby but two. He was a twin to his older brother, Garth. He grew up and attended the Stella Bell School for children with disabilities, which was founded by his grandmother. His life was completely changed after his parents died in a car wreck in 1973.
He moved up to Juneau, Alaska to be near his sister Sherrie and her family and lived there for 25 years. He was happy to live in his own apartment with some assistance. From there he moved back to Rexburg, Idaho in 2018.
He loved traveling, listening and singing along with country western music, politics, attending Madison High School football games, soda and Alexa. Gary collected toy Guernsey cows and was proud to have the largest dairy herd in Idaho. He also had his own construction company with toy trucks.
He is survived by his sister, Paula (Varr) Snedaker of Rexburg, ID; sister, Diane Bell of Rexburg, ID and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lamont and Stella Bell, Lelan and Martha Weekes; parents, Sherrill and Lillian Bell; sister Sherrie (Kent) Stears; brother Garth Bell (twin); sister Joy (Dave) Knowles; brother John Bell; nephew Corbin Snedaker.
Our family appreciates all those wonderful people who have shown kindness and love to Gary over the years.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 22nd at Flamm Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral prior to services. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
