Obituary

Gary Lynn Lewis, 70, of Rexburg, Idaho, passed away June 9th, 2022, of a heart attack.
Gary was born to Don Williamson Lewis and Laree Ball Lewis (Bats) he joined his three older sisters, LaDeen, Georgia and Donna.
Gary graduated from Madison High School in 1970. He went to Idaho State University and graduated in the Automotive Technology Program. Shortly after graduation he worked in Rexburg at Madison Ford and that's where he met Nolan Christensen. In 1973 they opened C&L Body shop together. They had a very successful business and when Nolan retired, Gary continued with the help of Ivan Gerdes, Louis Christensen, Jeff Jones, Gary Poulsen and Jim Mitchell. At one point all of Gary's children worked at the body shop. Drake had his dads' passion and talent for working with cars and he continues to use his talents and skills he learned from his dad.
Gary married Sherri Lynn Hall on June 14th, 1974. They had four amazing children, Klint, Drake, Chase and Kelle. They later divorced.
In early 2016, Gary found true love again with Judy Gould. He inherited a loving second family that welcomed him and loved him dearly. From that day forward, their hearts were intertwined, and they were inseparable. They enjoyed so many adventures together. They loved to travel over to Laramie, Wyoming, and visit his sister Georgia Klingler. Traveling was always in Gary's mind, and they were excitedly awaiting their future together. Gary loved life. He was one that was not able to be sitting around doing nothing. He loved riding in their side by side. They would ride up to find asparagus and huckleberries. Gary spent countless hours out by their pond making sure the pond was clear and up to par for the grandkids and the G.G.'s (great grandkids), so they could swim. Anyone who knew Gary, knew how meticulous he was about his yard. It was always perfect. The grandkids and G.G.s were the highlight of his day.
Gary loved to be involved with family and was always up for family get togethers, birthdays, family BBQ's, Christmas parties.
Our lives have forever been changed and leaves an enormous void in our hearts. We love you, Lewis; you will be missed immensely.
