Gary Michael Matkin, 23, of Tetonia, passed away on July 19, 2021, after a short, but well lived life.

Gary was born on January 25, 1998, the first born of Bucky and Mitzie (Beard) Matkin, in Driggs, Idaho.

From a young age, he had a true passion for dirt bikes, family and friends.

He later found the love of his life and married, Shaelyn Allen on August 24, 2019.

Anyone who knew Gary, or just met him, immediately felt his compassion and genuine sincerity.

Gary touched lives everywhere he went. He was always ready with a quick smile and friendly hello to each person he saw, even if he barley knew them.

Gary is survived by his wife, Shaelyn (Allen) Matkin; parents, Bucky and Mitzie (Beard) Matkin; sister, Gabrielle Matkin; brothers, Gavin Matkin, Gunner Matkin; and all of his many friends.

Funeral services will start at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021, in the Tetonia Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Friday, July 23, 2021 and from 10:00-10:45 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021, both times in the Tetonia Chapel.
