Geraldine "Geri" Schwab Morford of Plano passed away Sunday, January 25 at Madison Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born on January 4, 1964 in Afton, Wyoming. She grew up in Star Valley and Rexburg, Idaho where she graduated from Madison High School and attended Ricks College. She lived for several years in Okinawa and The Netherlands where she worked for the Department of Defense. After returning to the US, she married Steve Morford on Aug. 10, 2001 in Archer. She worked in Rexburg for Cedarpoint Trucking, the Rexburg Nursing Home, and Porter's Office Supply.
Geri loved music, she attended many concerts. She was an excellent roller skater and had a brown belt in Karate. She loved animals and they loved her. She had impeccable taste in clothes and loved French perfume. She had a great sense of humor and an unmistakeable laugh.
Geri is survived by her husband Steve Morford, her parents Teckla and Ellis Hemsley of Plano, and Kenneth and Ilene Schwab of Tetonia, her sisters, Melissa Schwab of Denver, Melanie Loveland of Denver, Wendy Beighley of Pocatello, and Cindy Myers of Logan as well as her dogs Penny and Matius. She had many dear friends, cousins, and aunts and uncles who loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Gina Gormley and Dena Schwab
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31 at 10 a.m. at the Plano Chapel at 6000 N 5000 W, Rexburg, Idaho. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Interment will be at the Thayne, Wyoming cemetery.
