Glenda Parker Mayne died on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at her son's home in Brigham City, Utah.
Glenda was born in Parker, Idaho and attended school there through the 8th grade. She graduated from South Fremont High School in St. Anthony, Idaho. She had many life long friendships from her school years.
Glenda married the love of her life, Milo "Mike" Mayne, at the Idaho Falls temple and they enjoyed 50 years together.
Glenda held a variety of jobs throughout her life. She believed, as her father had taught her, in being honest and hard-working. She was often promoted quickly because of her abilities to supervise and her strong work ethics. She especially enjoyed working with troubled youth. First at the Utah Boy's Ranch, and then at the Idaho Reform School.
Glenda had a huge impact on many people throughout her life. She had a talent for making people feel special and showing she cared. She was like a "second mother" to many and had a gift for making friends and relatives feel like they were her favorites. She was extremely generous and indulgent in such a way that everyone felt pampered and spoiled by her.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Horald Raymond "H.R." Parker and Florence Murdock Parker, older brother, Raymond Blaine, two older sisters, Phyllis Reed and Joyce Mackay, and her husband, Mike.
Glenda is survived by her brothers, Clifton (Norma) Parker, Blair (Charlotte) Parker, and Don (Pat) Parker. Her son, Michael "Phil" (Karen) Mayne and daughter Michelle "Shelley" (Neil) Zink. Her grandchildren, Keith (Ellen) Zink, Martin (Sheila) Mayne, Christina (Doug) Tice, Amber (Joe) Clark, Michael Mayne, Deanna Mayne Kulick, Amanda Mayne and Mitchell Mayne. And great grandchildren, Grace and David (Deanna), Alison and Milo (Keith) and Parker and Emma (Amber).
A memorial for family and close friends will be held at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, Idaho on Saturday, February 27th at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be immediately following at the Parker cemetery.
